On Saturday 16th September 2023, Brave Futures are bringing their famous dragon boat race to our fine City.
Are you ready for the adventure of a lifetime? On the morning of Saturday 16th September 2023, you can take part in a dragon boat race setting sail from the Riverside Development in Norwich. We have been granted the chance to have one of Brave Future’s boats exclusively for fundraising, benefiting both Brave Futures and our charity Sue Lambert Trust.
Gather your colleagues, friends, or family and form a team of 11 with 10 paddlers and a lively drummer to keep your spirits high and hopefully you in time. Worried about the experience? Fear not! The wonderful staff at Brave Futures will ensure professionals are there to guide you, offering expert coaching and tips to ensure you’re race-ready. The event is designed to support complete novices although seasoned rowers are of course welcome too.
The day itself promises non-stop action and excitement. After three thrilling initial races, the fastest teams will advance to the semi-finals and ultimately battle it out in the finals. Just picture the rush of adrenaline as you paddle your way to victory!
A fee of £385 is required to secure the boat paid to Brave Futures who is hosting the event. We work as partners in supporting anyone, young and older, who have experienced sexual abuse or violence throughout Norfolk. It’s a small price to pay for an unforgettable day and an incredible cause. Once secured we ask each participant to raise a minimum of £75 through Just Giving (or other means) in support of Sue Lambert Trust.
