Marks Marathon Blog - Running to raise funds for Sue Lambert Trust
Here's Marks June update about his running training and preparation over the last month.
27th June 2022
Hi everyone,
I’m pleased to say that June has been a really productive month training wise. Some ongoing sessions at Walk to Run on the massage couch are definitely sorting out my ageing legs. It’s been great to get out and do a few races as well.
Training has now commenced in full force I’m currently on week 3 of a 16 week plan I’ve adapted to fit in with life in general. Currently my miles per week are around 30 they will gradually increase peaking at around 50 before a taper two weeks before marathon day which someone pointed out is less than 100 days away.
In other news I have started the couch to 5km programme in association with Sue Lambert Trust on a Wednesday evening meeting at Eaton Park for 6.30pm. Everyone is welcome to join us regardless of ability you might just find you end up loving it, you can sign up here
