Here's all the latest from Mark Thorpe who is running the London marathon for us in October.
So another month has passed and I’ve actually been really busy training.
The months through late Spring and Summer are always really hectic if you enjoy races. Not only are there the traditional Sunday races but often shorter ones to run midweek evenings. Throw in the fact that we also have the county track championships the second weekend of May as well.
I’ve probably run far too many but with Amberley fairly new to running (my wife) and really enjoying the race day camaraderie we have both been busy. Two 10km races three 5 mile midweek races and last but not least I ran the 200m and 400m at the county championships taking gold in my age group. (See the photo of me at the top of this blog with my medal)
The really serious focused training starts in three weeks time with a sixteen week plan to get me to the start line in one piece fingers crossed.
I’ve been busy trying to boost my fundraising too and will be hosting a couch to 5k starting 22nd June 2022 so watch this space for updates about this.
