Peer support groups

All of our peer support groups provide a safe, supportive, and kind space for people with similar experiences to build a community of support.

Many clients attend our groups while waiting for counselling or alongside their counselling at Sue Lambert Trust, while others choose to join a group once their support has drawn to a close.

Group sessions provide people the opportunity to meet others and talk in a safe, supportive space. They help people to also build resilience, rediscover confidence and find a release through art, craft, writing, music and many other activities that often provide a way for people to express and process their thoughts and feelings.

Attendees have the opportunity to get involved in the activities we provide or can bring their own craft projects along. The sessions are run as a drop-in, so people can come and go as they please and attend as regularly as they wish.
