How a disclosure within the local music community sparked an extraordinary night of solidarity, raising £917.53 for the Sue Lambert Trust.

It is genuinely heartwarming to see communities come together to support survivors of sexual assault. It reminds survivors that they are not alone, and that there are people who will stand strongly against it.

On 14th March 2026 at Voodoo Daddy’s in Norwich, we witnessed exactly that, with the brilliantly named Anti-Pest Fest.

Following a disclosure of sexual assault within the Norwich music scene, bands Chicanes and Lara Price decided to turn the night into something powerful and positive, and Anti-Pest Fest was born. The evening became an awareness night for Sue Lambert Trust, with all funds raised going directly towards our work with survivors here in Norfolk.

As Chicanes put it so well:

“Anti-Pest Fest is a fundraising gig organised by us, created to stand firmly against abuse and to support those affected by it.”

The night featured amazing performances from Lara Price Band, The Winonas, Jakkels, and headliners Chicanes. Our very own counsellor, Kim, spoke to the crowd about the vital work we do and what the money raised would go towards, and what a crowd it was!

Funds came in through ticket sales, donations, and a raffle with prizes kindly donated by local businesses. We are absolutely thrilled to share that the night raised an incredible £917.53 for Sue Lambert Trust. Every single penny will go towards helping survivors in Norfolk feel confident and resilient again.

A huge, heartfelt thank you to Chicanes, Lara Price, all the bands, Voodoo Daddy’s, the local businesses who donated raffle prizes, and every person who came through the door. You made this happen, and it means the world to our team and to the people we support.

This is what community looks like. Thank you.

Nights like Anti-Pest Fest remind us why this work matters so deeply. 1 in 12 people in Norfolk have experienced sexual assault, rape or sexual abuse, and demand on our services continues to grow.

The Norwich music community showed up in a huge way for survivors. Now we need others to do the same. Our Police and Crime Commissioner is currently considering cuts to lifesaving survivor support services in Norfolk, and we urgently need your help to prevent that.

Please donate to our campaign to protect these vital services.

Were you inspired by what Chicanes and the Anti-Pest Fest team achieved? We would love to hear from you. If you are thinking about organising your own fundraising event for Sue Lambert Trust, please get in touch at fundraising@suelamberttrust.org — we would be thrilled to support you.
