Here's Marks July update about his running training and preparation over the last month.
26th July 2022
Hi everyone,
The weeks seem to be flying by in training. With just under ten weeks to go until race day things are considerably more intense now. The recent heatwave made training more tricky. Last weeks long run was 14 miles at 6 am on a Wednesday morning along Marriott’s way. It was still around 24°C by the time I finished.
I’ve taken in a couple of races as well running with Amberley who managed a great personal best by nearly two minutes at Wroxham 5km earlier in the month.
The biggest talking point has been Run Norwich now taking place in October instead of July. I’d like to wish those taking part representing Sue Lambert Trust good luck. Who knows maybe one or two of our couch to 5km group who have been literally smashing it out of the park the last few weeks on a Wednesday night at Eaton maybe toe the start line on the rearranged date or next year.
Thank you to everyone who has both supported and followed my journey so far. Its a bit frightening to think this time next month there will be 5 weeks to go.
