Sponsored Silence

We asked people to Go Silent for 24hours in support of Sue Lambert Trust

Sponsored silence

Go silent for Sue Lambert Trust raised over £2000

Go silent for Sue Lambert Trust has finished for 2024 – You can still donate to the fundraising at: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/go-silent-for-sue-lambert-trust

We asked people to get involved and hold a 24-hour sponsored silence during sexual abuse and sexual violence awareness week (5th-11th February 2024).

This is a many of our clients have stayed silent for many years mostly due to the shame of what has happened to them. Some have spoken out and have not been believed or made to feel guilty for doing so. All of which perpetuates the devastation that these crimes have on a person.

Sue Lambert Trust wants to make sure that people know that it is ok to come forward and speak about their experiences – with no judgement but a listening ear.

People joined in solidarity for the survivors of sexual abuse and violence by getting sponsored to stay silent for 24 hours and raise funds for Sue Lambert Trust so we can make sure we are always there for anyone when they are ready to speak out. The fundraising stands at over £2000!

Our supporters mean we can continue to help people heal and rebuild their lives.

Every £50 raised could fund a specialist 1-2-1 counselling session and will support our charity to continue to be there when people feel ready to speak out.

Thank you for all of your support!
