Sue Lambert Trust staff and volunteers met at The Last Pub Standing for an evening together.

Staff, volunteers and trustees were given an open invite to meet after work on Tuesday 20th December at The Last Pub standing for a pre Christmas get together.

We started our evening off with a couple of drinks and handed out Secret Santa to anyone who had opted in to taking part. The budget this year was just £5 and along with this came the stipulation that gifts must be purchased from a charity shop of your choice. There were some great gifts found including a pom pom hat, a book about gardening, a music board game and even reindeer antlers – a great bit of fun and supporting other charities too!

We then had a short break with some lovely loaded fries including chicken or vegetarian cheese.

After our food Clive CEO hosted a Christmas quiz, there was a round about music, a film picture round, a Christmas movie knowledge round and even name the celebrity Santa. The stakes were high as the winning team each took home their own selection box.

At various points throughout the evening Clive came around and gave each of us a small gift from him including things like pocket hugs to after eights a very thoughtful gesture for staff and volunteers.

It really was lovely for us to all come together and unwind for a few hours of an evening before breaking for Christmas and New Year.
